 INSTALLING
  Your new sign is designed and fabricated so that you can install your sign if you wish on your own provided your local zoning office approves.

    REPLACING BALLAST
  sign ballast
  • Disconnect power to sign.
  • Remove sign face from either side.
  • Remove raceway covers adjacent to faulty ballast. Raceway covers are metal covers that conceal electrical wires.
  • Remove wire nuts and cut wires leading to ballast. Take note of wire colors and record if necessary.
  • Unscrew faulty ballast and remove.
  • Install new ballast.
  • Reconnect wires using same color scheme as before removal of old ballast.
  • Re-install raceway covers taking care to not pinch any wires.
  • Re-install sign face.
  • Turn power back on.
     
     
    MAINTENANCE
  Upon receipt of your new sign, Cornerstone Companies LLC recommends that you wax your entire sign's painted structures ( cabinet, legs, cowling, trim, etc.) with a high quality automotive wax such as Turtle Wax.  It is recommends that you wax your sign once each year to maintain your sign's appearance.

To remove dust and fingerprints from your sign's surfaces, it is recommended that you use a mild cleaners such as Joy, or any other high quality mild soap cleaner. Rinse with water. The use of Formula 409 to clean your sign is also fine to use.

Never use any harsh cleaners or thinners such as lacquer thinner. These will harm your sign's painted surfaces. 

CLEANING LEXAN VANDAL COVERS

Rinse with lukewarm water.  Wash with warm water and mild soap using sponge or soft cloth.  Do not scrub or use hard bristle brushes.  Repeat, rinse and dry. Recommended cleaning agents - Formula 409, Palmolive soap, Windex with Ammonia D,  Top Job, and Joy.

Never clean with Butyl Cellosolve, Isopropyl Alcohol, Lysol, or Pinesol.

 
 
     
    WARRANTY
 

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Cornerstone Companies LLC warrants the following to the purchaser of a Cornerstone Companies LLC sign, subject to the conditions herein provided:
Sign Structure and Sign: Under normal use and service should the sign structure or identification/changeable copy sign malfunction during the life of the sign due to defects in workmanship or materials, Cornerstone Companies LLC will at its option repair or replace any of the defective materials, (with the exception of lamps and ballasts). Faulty ballasts will be exchanged for new ballasts for a period of three years. Lamps are replaced free of charge if damaged in shipment otherwise are not warranted.
Vandalism to Sign Faces: This Lifetime Warranty also covers the polycarbonate faces against breakage due to vandalism for the life of the sign. Warranty protection does not extend to these surfaces if damaged by gunshots, or when damaged coincident with the destruction of the sign cabinet.
L.E.D. Electronic Display (If Applicable): Cornerstone Companies LLC warrants the L.E.D. Electronic Display to be free from defects in workmanship or materials for a period of two years from the date of shipment. Damage caused by abuse, misuse, misapplication or accidental damage outside of the control of Cornerstone Companies LLC (including lightning), and any consequential or contingent liability is excluded from this warranty. Cornerstone Companies LLC will, at its option, repair or replace the malfunctioning or defective part(s) when authorized by the company.
Cornerstone Companies LLC warrants DesignStone models for a period of five years from the date of shipment due to defects in workmanship or materials. DesignStone models with lighted marquees have the following exceptions: Faulty ballasts will be exchanged for new ballasts for a period of three years. Lamps are replaced free of charge if damaged in shipment otherwise are not warranted.
Additional Warranty Terms: This warranty covers normal use and service. Warranty claims must be registered with Cornerstone Companies LLC within thirty (30) days of damage or malfunction. Cornerstone Companies LLC reserves the right to visit the site of the installation or to require documentation of the claim before assuming any responsibility under the provisions of this warranty. Damaged or defective parts will be covered under this warranty however, removing and reinstalling these parts is the responsibility of the owner.
Cornerstone Companies LLC assumes no liability for damage caused by careless handling or poor installation except for work completed by employees or agents of Cornerstone Companies LLC.
Service to a damaged or malfunctioning sign, which has not been ordered or authorized by Cornerstone Companies LLC is not covered under this warranty.
In the event the sign is damaged during shipping it is the responsibility of the buyer to refuse delivery causing the sign to be returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.
The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties whether written, oral, or implied (including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for purpose).
