INSTALLATIONSWithout question, the idea of installing your own sign can at first seem impossible. It is not. Years ago, we would fly an installer across the US to install signs for our clients and we realized that we simply were almost always not needed. We have subcontracted local sign installers. They were normally not needed. Some zoning officials have restrictions that make it necessary that a licensed or local sign installer be in charge of your installation. We can not change that. When that is not required, we can help and you will normally save a great amount of money. Allow us to explain why that is. In most states, workers compensation laws are written such that sign companies that install ground level signs pay the same rates as do those involved in installations that are 100 ft. in the air. This is normally because if a sign company gets involved in one single installation that is high in the air, it is assumed that they will do so again. This is quite understandable. These rates oftentimes dictate that sign companies installation rates be quite high. It is not unusual to encounter installation rates that exceed $ 300.00 per hour. We have managed installations in areas where we were required to use local sign installers and pay the local prevailing rates. This is sometimes necessary. Our installation assistance is directed for those that are not required by their local zoning officials to hire a local sign installer and they desire to save on their installation costs. As diverse as America is today, zoning restrictions are as well. never assume that you can install your own sign. Always check with your local zoning office. Obtain a permit. Be 100% positive that you can indeed install a new sign. No one is happy when a new sign is ordered and delivered only to discover that it is too large or for some unexpected reason can not be installed. Installing your own sign should not be overwhelming.
